2020 Region 5 Training Camps Cancelled

Dear Region 5

We are sad to announce that due to the uncertainty of our current situation and because many of our clubs are not yet open, the Region 5 Administrative Committee determined it is in the best interest of everyone in the community to cancel all Region 5 Training Camps this season.  The safety of athletes, coaches and host clubs is our highest priority.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.  You can find more information on the USAG website - https://usagym.org/pages/women/pages/index.html

Wishing everyone a safe and healthy return to the gym.  We can't wait to see everyone soon!

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Our camps continue to be successful due to the many experienced and successful Region 5 coaches who graciously donate their time to work camps. Attending coaches should register through the USA Gymnastics Reservation System. The camp director will contact you to discuss your preferred event assignments. Please remember that at least one working coach (who is experienced in the levels which are represented at the camp) is expected to be with gymnasts at all camps. Learning/observing coaches are also invited to attend camp. Please be sure to register them.
  • Gymnasts MAY NOT attend camp without a coach.
  • Scratches should be made through the USA Gymnastics Reservation System. Refunds will be provided for gymnasts that are scratched before the scratch deadline, which is two week before each camp begins.
  • Remember that both athlete and professional members must have a current USA Gymnastics membership in order to register or attend a camp. All memberships expire on 7/31/2020. Please be sure to renew early so you don’t miss getting into camp! Coaches, please remember that background checks may take several weeks to process so don’t wait until the last minute to renew!
  • Gymnasts must meet the requirements for the camp for which they are registering. Gymnasts that were injured in the 2019-20 season may use their 2018-19 season to meet requirements.
