REGION 5 TRAINING CAMP BIDS

The Region 5 Training Camp Committee is now accepting bids to host 2019 Region 5 Training Camps. Below is a link to the online Bid Form, Camp Host Requirements with camp dates and descriptions. 

The deadline to submit bids is Wednesday, May 1s​t​


REGION 5 TRAINING CAMP HOST REQUIREMENT

August 2-4, 2019
Hot Shot & Rising Stars Camp

Hot Shot Camp is for gymnasts that have competed level 6 or higher in the 2019 competition season and were 12 years old or younger at their 2019 state meet. Maximum of 120 gymnasts accepted on a first registered & paid, first accepted basis.

Rising Stars Camp is for gymnasts that competed level 4 or level 5 in the 2019 competition season and were 10 years old or younger at their 2019 state meet. Gymnasts who scored a 37.00 AA or higher at their state will be given priority registration. After the priority registration period, gymnasts who scored a 36.00 AA or higher at their state meet will be accepted until the camp is full. Maximum of 120 gymnasts accepted on a first registered & paid, first accepted basis.

Master Staff will be USA Gymnastics National Team Staff. Support Staff will be Region 5 coaches.

September 6-8, 2019
Forward Momentum Camp

Forward Momentum Camp is for gymnasts that have competed level 7 or higher in the 2019 competition season. Gymnasts who competed level 7 in the 2019 season must have scored a 36.00 AA or higher at their 2019 state or regional meet. Maximum of 120 gymnasts accepted on a first registered & paid, first accepted basis.

Master staff and support staff will be Region 5 coaches.

September 27-29, 2019
High Tech & High Performance Camp

High Tech Camp is for Elite and JO National Qualifiers, 1s​t​ alternates, and Region 5 athletes that represented a different region at JO Nationals.

High Performance Camp is for level 10 gymnasts that scored a 35.00 AA or higher at the 2019 Regional Competition. Individual Event Specialists IES must have scored a 9.0 or higher for one event, 18.00 or higher for two events, or 27.00 or higher for three events at the 2019 Regional Competition. Maximum of 120 gymnasts accepted on a first registered & paid, first accepted basis.

Master Staff will be USA Gymnastics National Team Staff. Support Staff will be Region 5 coaches.

October 11-13, 2019
Forward Momentum Camp

Forward Momentum Camp is for gymnasts that have competed level 7 or higher in the 2019 competition season. Gymnasts who competed level 7 in the 2019 season must have scored a 36.00 AA or higher at their 2019 state or regional meet. Maximum of 120 gymnasts accepted on a first registered & paid, first accepted basis.

November 1-3, 2019
Forward Momentum Camp

Forward Momentum Camp is for gymnasts that have competed level 7 or higher in the 2019 competition season. Gymnasts who competed level 7 in the 2019 season must have scored a 36.00 AA or higher at their 2019 state or regional meet. Maximum of 120 gymnasts accepted on a first registered & paid, first accepted basis.

Camp Schedules

Friday
8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2:45 PM – 9:15 PM

Saturday
8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
2:15 PM – 8:15 PM

Sunday
8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

General Information & Host Requirements

  • Gym must be available all day on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday until noon.
  • Gym must have the necessary equipment and space to accommodate a large number of gymnasts.
  • Equipment must be in good working order and be properly maintained.
  • Host gym must carry liability insurance and provide proof of policy if requested.
  • Only bids that are completed and submitted on time will be considered.

Camp hosts will:

  • Be chosen by the regional camp committee based on the bids received
  • Be paid $1,000 stipend by Region 5
  • Have staff or company representative onsite at all times during the camp hours
  • Be responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of chalk
  • Be responsible for maintaining restrooms and facilities
  • Have basic first aid supplies available including ice bags
  • Be a USA Gymnastics member club in good standing or an NCAA Gymnastics facility

Please note that the deadline to submit bids is Wednesday, May 1s​t​. You may bid on more than one camp. Please be sure to be as descriptive as possible when describing your facility.
