KY- USAG
Newsletter
July 5, 2007
I
hope everyone has had a great summer. Ky. USAG Committee met recently
and made some exciting changes in Ky R & P. It seems last year many of
the clubs, gymnast, and parent were unhappy with lots of things. We have
made, I think some changes that everyone is going to be pleased with.
-
The Calendar is a little different. We
are having the compulsory season a little longer, hopefully to help
keep you young gymnasts in your club longer.
-
State Meets! Also we are going to have
All Levels competing on the same weekend and site for the first
time. We think it will make for a great gymnastic weekend. Level
3 thru 10 in the same meet. For the last few years our finest
gymnasts P.O. thru level 10 have not had an exciting site to display
their talents. Also the younger kids and parents should enjoy
watching the older girls compete.
-
We will probably get
several bids on that exciting meet. So if you would like to host the
meet get bids in to Cap a.s.a.p.
-
Another major change will
be in the awards. Everyone that pays an entry fee will receive an
All Around award.
-
Every team
that
pays an entry fee will receive also.
-
We are holding our 2nd
annual Summer clinic and Awards Banquet September 8th in
Bardstown KY. This summer we are combining Coaching and Judges Clinic at
the same time, It should be a Blast! Remember this is a FREE Clinic.
Contact Vicki Smith for more Info.
-
This is the year to re-elect
the KY Committee for the next 2 year term. I’m sending out a nomination
form for you if you would like to nominate yourself or someone else. Get
that back to Cap by the deadline.
Many
thanks to the current board for all the work and thought
thethat
went into these recent changes. They have been a pleasure to work with.
If you
need further info on the above please feel free to contact me,
