Reminder: the Region 5 Mini Congress will once again be held in Illinois. If you have not yet received any information on this great event contact Hilary Carlson

Regional Board Meeting Norbert recently traveled to Huron OH (just outside Cleveland) for a Region 5 Board meeting. The minutes of this meeting are included. But I thought I would visit some of the items that were discussed
Level 9 Regionals will have 4-judge panel. The board felt that since this was a meet were gymnasts were qualifying to a national Type meet that we should follow what we do at Level 10
Region 5 Camps were discussed. Please make sure that your athletes who have a chance to qualify for NEXT YEARS All star team that they attend a Region 5 Camp this year

 

R&P Changes Please submit any changes as soon as possible. We are making changes right now and need you to check out your info in the Rules & Policies

 

National Office Information: All Clubs were sent out information by the National Office asking for correct information. Please check carefully. We are downloading most of our information (Club lists, Telephone number, Email, Fax numbers etc) from the National Office Data bases. If the information is incorrect and you do not correct it with them, Our information at the state level will then also be incorrect. We still have clubs with area codes that were changed years ago. We are sorry but it is your responsibility to make the State Records correct by correcting the National Office . Thanks

 

Meet Scheduling Meeting Those that do not already know there will be a Meet Scheduling Meeting Held

Joliet Park District 2:00 pm
Building 2 (map in the Illinois R&P)
for Meet Directors that wish to Host USAG meets 99-00 season
Safety Course will be held from 9:00am - 1:00 at the Joliet Park District you must first register with the National Office…..There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION.

State Series Bid Form In the Above Information was also the forms required to Bid on one of the State Series meets. The Deadline also August 1st. They will be awarded at the Board meeting

Items on the Agenda Computer Tracking, Web Page, Season 99-00 Awards, Qualifying Scores, Fines: Late Fees, Incomplete Entry Forms Board Appointments: Election, Competition Coordinator, Education, Statistician It is now required that all Board appointments be evaluated every year. This is a new policy handed down by the National Office. Level 4 Season 99-00: Scoring; Vault Handspring Vs Squat through Bars; Pull-over vs. Kip State Training Camps,
