Board meeting was called to order on Saturday, March 27th at 5:40pm. The meeting was held at Illinois State University in conjunction with 9/10 State.

1. State Training Camp- June 26 & 27, 1999. We will try to have a similar situation as last year. We will be brining in clinicians and testing will be provided.

2. State Congress - Do we want to have a state congress? Illinois is hosting the Regional congress in Oakbrook on October 1-3,1999. The theme will be Swing into the new Millennium. All of the testing will be done on Thursday.

- No we will not have a state congress since we are hosting the Regional congress. Motion by Suzie, Teresa seconded, unanimous.

3. Calendar for next year was discussed as follows:

- To have the following dates for our calendar next year. March 4-5, 2000 Level 5 sectionals; March 11-12, 2000 Level 6 state; March 25-26, 2000 Level 5 state. Motion by Dave, Don seconded, unanimous.

- To have Level 7/8 state remain together on April 1-2, 2000. Motion by Don, Randy Peebles seconded, unanimous.

- Level 4 Invite will be held on December 11-12, 1999. Motion by Randy Peebles, Teresa seconded, unanimous.

4. Elections will be for Level 5, 7, & 9 Chairs and Safety and JO. Nominations forms are in this newsletter.

5. Donations for the state board will continue to be the same for both the Erna Watchel and Doris Rutherford funds as they have been in the past.

6. The scheduling meeting for next year will be on Sunday, August 8th, 1999.

7. National Gymnastics Day Mall Tour - Norbert is finding out more information on this day.

8. The meeting was adjourned at 7:35pm.
