                        2.         Norbert Bendixen made a motion to adopt a system for

                                    identification method that coaches checked in for

                                    competition.  Identification must be visible.  State may adopt

                                    their own method.  Bobbi Montanari seconded motion.

                                    Motion passed.

3.         Training Camps (enclosure #3)

website and is published online or in a newsletter by each State Chair.  This form is due by August 1 for all training camps.

IV.        Regional JO Report (John Geddert)        

A.                 Review of “Minutes from Joint Jr. Olympic and Technical

Committee Meeting” on May 1, 2006, in Oklahoma City.

Minutes are published in Technique Magazine or on the

USAG website (usa-gymnastics.org)

B.                 Scores for the International All Star Team trip are due to John

Geddert by July 1, 2006.

                        1.         Competition will be in November 2006.

                        2.         Any Brevet judge that would like to attend the International

Training Camp with Region V should John Geddert,

                                    Kathy Koeth Shufflin, or Char Christensen ASAP.

3.                  Special thank you to Carole Liedtke, NAWGJ, for her

continued support of $500 for a judge who makes the trip from the Region V NAWGJ.  NAWGJ is offering support for the 2006 trip again this year.

V.        Regional TOP and Elite Report (Enrique Travbanino)

            A.        Enclosure #4

            B.        A copy of all TOP information is to be sent to Kathy Koeth Shufflin.

VI.        Regional Meet Format

A.                 Char Christensen made a motion to use modified capital cup at Level 9 and 10 Regionals (see page 38 in Rules & Policies).  Augusta Lipsey seconded motion.  Motioned passed.

B.                 Meet format and gym layout must be approved by John Geddert (JO Chairman).

C.        Regional meet bids are due to Kathy Koeth Shufflin by August 10, 2006.

            D.        Level 8 Regionals

                        1.         John Geddert made a recommendation to use traditional

                                    format with two competition vaults in the same direction

                                    divided into A and B groups.  The purpose of this format

            is to speed up vault based upon past competition.  If a

            bye rotation is needed, it should be after floor and before

            vault.  Ed Gibson seconded motion.  Passed motion.
