REGION V SUCCESSFUL YEAR-2000-2001

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Region V gymnasts, coaches and parents for another successful gymnastic year. Everything from our USAG State, Regional, and National Junior Olympic Championships to our training camps, state clinics and symposiums, judges' preparation, and coaches' preparation of our athletes are only part of the reasons for our success. Our athletes won 3 out of 8 age divisions at Level 10 Nationals which is something we are all very proud of in Region V. Special recognition goes to Evelyn House who performed a vault, which will be named after her, for its original merit-half - half front layout -half which will be called the House vault. Evelyn is an Olympic Dreams gymnast from Ohio. As we head into the new season, we look forward to the new rules and applications, which will continue to evaluate the athletes with fairness and differentiation. On be-half of all of the work and efforts by our Region V, we should all be very proud of our success .We are the envy of many Regions that don't have the sharing and caring for each other that our Region always has. Let's continue to work together to have our Region V to enjoy our successful programs in the next four years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As the meet referee for level 8, 9, 10 Regional Meets, I wanted to share with the Region the percentage of qualifiers out of each state. The percentages indicate the number of qualifiers out of the total number that competed at the level. Please share this with the judges and coaches from your state and it will appear on the Region V web site, also.
